Hospitality Internship by DoubleTree/Hilton - Sage Hospitality

As an internship student working in the Rooms Division you will have the prospective of seeing how customer service and revenue generation work hand and hand. This setup gives you full access to anticipate how small adjustments in room bookings impact the overall hotel operation.

The internship student will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Greets, registers and assigns rooms to guests.
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests, shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions.
  • Keep records of room availability and guest’s accounts.
  • Computes bill, collects payment and makes change for guests.
  • Assists guests in the selection of individual activities in the resort area by finding, locating, booking and informing them of things to do.
  • Responsible for updating the profile of each guest in the front office system.
  • Discuss time schedules, rates and types of activities with guests to determine preferences and make reservations.
  • Prepare arrival list daily and make sure guests needs have been met.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all packages and rates offered.
  • Conducting local shop calls to compare competiveness using phone and online systems.
  • Gain knowledge regarding third party extranets and the hotel online booking system.
