Summer Culinary Intern

Location: Burbank, California

Start: May - August, 2024

Type: Part-time (2 days/week)

 

Overview: Mythical is currently seeking an intern to assist the Mythical Kitchen department. Throughout the course of this program, interns will be involved in multiple facets of Mythical Entertainment, with a focus on Food Production. Interns will gain hands-on experience while working closely with various teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in some area of Production and/or Culinary Arts and be pursuing (or recently graduated with) an undergraduate degree in related fields. This is a paid internship and will take place in our studio 2 days a week.
 

Responsibilities
Culinary:

  • Shadowing our recipe development process
  • Assisting the team with mis en place according to the recipe docs
  • Receiving and organizing deliveries and breaking down boxes 
  • Spearheading an R&D project of their choice 
     

Creative Development:

  • Shadowing all brainstorming/production meetings with the team
  • Pitching YouTube episode ideas for Mythical Kitchen
  • Assisting with beat sheet research
  • Pitching short-form series ideas for IG and TikTok
  • Assisting with research docs for A Hot Dog is A Sandwich Podcast
  • Pitching succinct and comedic podcast intros
  • Creating case studies on fellow YouTube Creators, analyzing how they edit, how food is portrayed, how scripted/unscripted it feels, etc. 
  • Shadowing the thumbnail development process
  • Optional: Creating BTS social content (during prep or shoot days)

 

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited university
  • Rising Junior and above
  • Strong interest in Post Production, Culinary Arts, or related creative field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
