Field Representative to County Supervisor Karen Spiegel (Paid/Full-Time)

Field Representative to Riverside County Second District Supervisor Karen Spiegel

The office of Second District Supervisor Karen Spiegel is looking for a new Field Representative! We are looking for an energetic individual with an interest in attending events such as health fairs, town halls, ribbon cuttings, and other community events. Community Liaison to cities, including Corona, Norco, Jurupa Valley, Eastvale, Lake Elsinore, and Canyon Lake. Staff will report to the main office in Downtown Riverside and include travel to cities within the Second District.

REQUIREMENTS (May include but are not limited to)

  • Must be comfortable with Public Speaking
  • Includes events that take place at night and occasionally on Saturdays
  • Ability to work with deadlines
  • Office/Clerical Work
  • Attending meetings, conferences, and events with the Supervisor
  • Relationship building with public agencies such as City Councils, School Districts, and Chambers of Commerce
  • Must be able to work Full-Time (40 hours per week) and in-person
  • Telephone inquiries
  • Creation of certificates, proclamations, and other accolades for community events

This class has been designated At-Will by the Board of Supervisors, in accordance with the provisions provided under Article 6, Section 601E (3) of the County Management Resolution, and serves at the pleasure of the individual Supervisor.

 

PRE-EMPLOYMENT

 

All employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of both a pre-employment physical exam, including a drug/alcohol test, and a criminal background investigation, which involves fingerprinting. (A felony or misdemeanor conviction may disqualify the applicant from County employment.)

 

PROBATIONARY PERIOD

 

As an Approved Local Merit System, all County of Riverside employees, except those serving "At Will," are subject to the probationary period provisions as specified in the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, County Resolution, or Salary Ordinance. Temporary and Per Diem employees serve at the pleasure of the agency/department head.
