Creative Marketing Intern

Hey y'all! Rachel here from Glass Staircase, a digital marketing + branding agency built by creatives to empower and inspire women, entrepreneurs and companies with a vision.

We’re looking for graphic designers, copywriters, photo/video enthusiasts and business development assistants to join our Summer internship program!

Interns at Glass Staircase don't get coffee. They get creative, hands-on experience with clients. If you're looking to grow your professional marketing, branding or creative skills - join our team!

Weekly team meetings with the Intern Supervisor and the intern group as a whole, as well as weekly one-on-ones with a direct report team member, will keep you moving through tasks and help you gain valuable feedback along the way. You'll work on actual client accounts, not projects-in-theory. Interns will work on both individual tasks, as well as one large group campaign that will span the length of the internship. Depending on the team member you are paired with and your individual goals, tasks may include competitor research, sponsorship outreach, event planning, website audits, social media account audits, creating video and graphic content to be used across all social platforms, capturing and editing video and photo for IG reels and stories, concepting creative campaigns for product launches or core content, curating photos and music to use with posted content and client presentations, copywriting emails, blogs and captions, etc. The specific assignments depend on the needs of our clients at that present time. You'll also do a final presentation on the last meeting day to gain valuable experience with pitching and presenting.

We ask interns to devote an average of 14 hours/week, but your time is your own! How much you experience is based on your personal drive - much like in a paid position, you own what's given to you! This is a very collaborative internship - you'll work alone AND with others the entire time. You'll have the ability to work in person at the Glass Staircase office if you are local to Austin, but remote/virtual meetings are always an option.

After successfully completing the internship, Austin locals can receive free headshots, and all interns are welcome to request letters of recommendation, as well as a LinkedIn recommendation. Qualified interns are eligible to be asked back as a paid intern and/or freelance creative for the following semester.

Schools that require specific documentation for class credit - interns need to submit all materials and instructions in advance, and those will be completed by the Intern Supervisor.

Applications are open March 25th through April 5th at 5PM CT. You can read more about the internship and find our application here, and check us out on InstagramFacebook or LinkedIn.
