About HomeCook

HomeCook is a platform for food entrepreneurs to access commercial kitchens, while also empowering kitchen owners to diversify their revenue streams. We hope to improve food sustainability & equity by empowering food entrepreneurs as they launch, build community & expand beyond their home kitchens.

Whether it be an independent chef simply in need of a prep kitchen or a future restaurant owner looking to host a pop-up dining experience, HomeCook seeks to play a pivotal role in every chef's journey by linking them to kitchens that meet their need.

About the role

HomeCook is seeking a creative thinker and executor Marketing Intern to join our team and help us innovate the food industry with community building. This internship is a rare chance to gain hands-on experience in marketing while working alongside an agile team.

What you will do

  1. Cultivate engaging social media content via Canva and a content calendar to ensure timely, consistent posting schedules and resonate with the target audience.
  2. Track metrics and analytics for active social media accounts across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok to provide insights and recommendations for optimization.
  3. Stay updated with the latest trends in social media and the food industry, incorporating them into content strategies.
  4. Assist in ideating and developing impactful email marketing campaigns, including newsletter creation, design, and scheduling.
  5. Leverage AI tools’ prompt engineering to boost productivity and efficiency without replacing the creative human touch.

  1. Creative thinker: has a passion for storytelling, content creation, and aesthetics.
  2. Food marketing enthusiast: has a strong interest in marketing strategies to promote the food industry's innovative practices.
  3. Organizer: highly organized in executing daily tasks, delivering quality work on time, and managing your time without needing daily supervision. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  4. Problem-solver: possess logical thinking, reasoning, and understanding to identify problems, address issues, and discover solutions. Unafraid to take initiative, think out of the box, and make mistakes to learn from them.
  5. Scholar: intellectually curious. Working towards a Bachelor's degree in marketing, arts, food nutrition, culinary, or a related degree.
  6. Social media experience: has prior experience with managing or contributing to social media content in any setting.
  7. Strong writer: thrive when writing to people of all backgrounds, and look to continuously grow your communication skills.
  8. Tech savvy: utilize digital tools like Canva and AI to efficiently produce work.

Internship logistics

U.S. college students only with U.S. citizenship or green card.

Hours: 5-10 hours per week during the spring, 20 hours per week during the summer

Time period: 3 months starting as soon as possible.
