Job Description:

We are seeking a Production Manager with a strong background in manufacturing processes, to oversee our coffee roasting and packing operations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, with a proven ability to troubleshoot product, production, machinery, and roasting equipment issues effectively, as well as schedule production and manage the team and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Management: Collect and import customer orders into our system, planning efficient production, roasting, and packing schedules.
  • Operations Leadership: Lead the roasting and packing teams, ensuring productivity targets, quality standards, and deadlines are met.
  • Procurement: Purchase necessary production components including film, bags, boxes, filters, and flavoring, ensuring optimal stock levels.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot issues related to products, production, and machinery, emphasizing roasting equipment.
  • Inventory and Warehouse Management: Oversee inventory control and warehouse operations specific to the coffee roasting department.
  • Support Growth: Assist in establishing and commissioning new packing and roasting operations, playing a key role in the company's expansion efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a production management role within the manufacturing sector, food and beverage experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with production and roasting equipment.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices and supply chain logistics.
  • Ability to plan production schedules and manage operational priorities effectively.
  • Experience in procurement and vendor relations.
  • A commitment to quality and safety standards.
