WHAT YOU WILL DO 

Myriad Genetics is seeking a Product Manager II to work on our provider experience. Reporting to the Group Product Manager, the Product Manager II will join Myriad’s Product organization, where we focus on building products and software that empower clinicians to make genetic testing a routine part of medicine, and turn testing results into action plans for patients. Our digital workflow solutions range from provider test ordering and resulting to identifying at-risk patients, tracking test progress, guiding actionable insights, and connecting patients to educational resources.  

The ideal candidate has a passion for product management, healthcare, and enabling healthcare providers to deliver the best care possible to their patients. You’ll partner with others on the product management team to help streamline touchpoints for our providers and deliver exceptional experiences. The Product Manager II is responsible for overseeing the product lifecycle phases from requirements through build and launch. You’ll write product requirements, work closely with engineering during the development process, and create launch materials for the sales team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Align the provider experience product roadmap to company goals and initiatives
  • Assist in owning the product development process from idea to launch
  • Build and maintain key relationships with business stakeholders across commercial, operations, marketing and other teams
  • Engage in user, market, and competitive research to better understand needs and opportunities for providers
  • Identify tradeoffs and prioritize feature work
  • Write crisp product requirements to drive technical specifications and user experience and interface designs
  • Execute closely with UX designers and software engineers through the full product lifecycle
  • Define, measure, and analyze metrics to evaluate product success and identify opportunities for improvement

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Experience working as part of a team building and launching software products
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence and/or other software development management tools
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills and business acumen

Preferred qualifications: 

  • 1-3 years of software product management experience
  • Familiarity with Agile and scrum process frameworks
  • Experience in life sciences, technology, healthcare, molecular diagnostics, or biotech/pharma
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority
  • Experience working with a remote team
  • Curiosity and drive to work in the genetic testing industry
