HR Intern

Aspen Aerogels® is a rapidly growing aerogel technology company founded in 2001 to capitalize on patented advances in aerogel manufacturing. Aspen’s extensive portfolio of proprietary aerogel products are manufactured at scale and sold worldwide in the Electric Vehicle, Energy Infrastructure, and Power Generation industries. Aspen Aerogels has a summer internship opportunity in the Human Resources team.  We are looking for a performance-driven person who understands the importance of collaboration and customer focus.  This opportunity provides exposure to a variety of specialization and generalist assignments across the HR function, with a particular focus on HR communications and change management. This will be a hybrid role in our Northborough, MA based location.     

 

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with building out an HR communications strategy leveraging multi-channel communications (eg email, newsletter, intranet, etc.)
  • Support change management/communications for new HR technology implementation project
  • Provide support to key HR projects as assigned 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Rising junior or senior, pursuing a BS/BA degree in Business, Human Resources Management, Marketing, Communications, or Management with a cumulative overall GPA at or above 3.0
  • Demonstrated leadership skills such as: campus organizations, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership of work projects
  • Strong presentation and communication skills; candidate should feel comfortable presenting to senior leaders
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly adept at excel and PowerPoint 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with initial direction and guidance
