Summer Intern
The Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to serve in the role of Summer 2024 intern. Interns assist visitors and members by answering questions, providing literature, or directing them to the appropriate staff members or departments for their questions. Interns assist with administrative duties as needed, offer committee support, and attend monthly Good Morning Coral Gables and/or evening events (as assigned).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Office Support:
- Greets members and visitors.
- Directs members and visitors to various departments and meetings in the Chamber.
- Directs tourists and visitors to various attractions and accommodations in the area.
- Distributes maps, brochures and information. Keeps brochure racks filled and in order.
- Maintains inventory of brochures and other materials in conjunction with partners and stakeholders.
- Handles and follows-up on incoming telephone calls.
- Assists in setting up designated Committee and Board meetings
- Addresses envelopes, assembles mailings, as well as new member welcome kits.
Event Support
- Attends monthly morning (GMCG) and/or evening events (as assigned)
- Prepares nametags (as assigned)
- Provides general event support
Committee Support
- Prepares materials for Coral Gables Chamber Foundation Board meetings
- Assists in grant research and applications
REQUIREMENTS:
Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) including projection interface
Excellent speaking and writing skills
Customer service oriented with excellent phone skills
High energy
Must be available for early morning and after hour events (as assigned)
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
Professional attire required
