Meeting and Event Coordinator

Meeting and Event Coordinator

 

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists is seeking a meeting and event coordinator for local meetings. The ideal candidate for this mid-level position should have two to five years of experience in meeting and event coordination with an emphasis on meeting logistics, principles, and hospitality. Strong collaboration, excellent written and oral communication skills and acute attention to detail are essential to this position. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage meetings including service agreement negotiation, food and beverage, and transportation.
  • Work with applicable meetings technology such as mobile apps, registration systems, and conference websites.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with hotels and vendors to ensure relationships are reliable and productive.
  • Track expenses to stay within the boundaries of the project budget.
  • Problem solve and make decisions to resolve situations within appropriate scope.

 

Successful Candidates Meet the Following Criteria:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in meeting and event coordination. 
  • Associate degree or higher in hospitality, meetings management, business or communications.
  • Event planning and meeting principles.
  • Meeting and conference preparation and coordination.
  • Vendor, supplier or contract management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrates strong time management and communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively.
