Role Summary:
We are seeking an ambitious Public Relations Intern to join our team. This role is designed for someone passionate about communications, media relations, and branding. The intern will contribute to developing and implementing PR strategies that align with Med-Kick's goals, helping to increase our visibility and position us as leaders in the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and executing PR campaigns and strategies to boost brand awareness.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitor PR strategies, and potential media opportunities.
  • Draft press releases, articles, and content for social media and the company website.
  • Help manage and update media lists and databases.
  • Monitor media coverage and compile reports on media mentions and PR campaign performance.
  • Support the organization of press events, webinars, and other promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment between PR activities and marketing goals.

Training and Development:

  • Initial Training: In-depth introduction to Med-Kick's mission, services, and target audience. Training on PR tools and software, media relations practices, and content creation.
  • Ongoing Learning: Opportunities to work on diverse projects across different media platforms, develop networking skills with media professionals, and learn from feedback on PR initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • A strong interest in healthcare and technology.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms

This is a 6 month internship.  3 Months will be unpaid and the final 3 months could be paid upon evaluation.  There will be an opportunity for a full-time or part-time position.
