Brand and Marketing Intern

JOB SUMMARY:

This position aids with Brand and Marketing efforts for the organization, mainly through administrative support and special projects. This is a paid internship and entails 40 hours during the work week (Monday-Friday). Intern may also be asked to work nights, holidays and weekends as needed. This position is for marketing, not activation. Please note there are gameday responsibilities with this role and working gameday would be a requirement.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Aid on research, branding, marketing, fan club, social, print, broadcast, best practices and website projects.
  • Proofread various marketing content and assist with copywriting.
  • Organize radio scripts and commercials for live game broadcasts during the season.
  • Liaison with the NFL to execute club marketing strategies, game initiatives and stadium signage requirements.
  • Assist with communications, editorial calendars, scheduling and meetings for ongoing Packers tent pole initiatives.
  • Set up creative projects within system software.
  • Manage projects and agenda on the signage committee.
  • Assist with coordination and execution of marketing ideation and media scheduling.
  • Organize invoices and record appropriate budget allocation as needed.
  • Handle calls and assist with planning and coordination of various projects.
  • Work successfully with partner vendors to allocate, organize and facilitate projects.
  • Independently exercise good judgment, discretion and sound reasoning in making important decisions by prioritizing assignments and tasks under general direction with minimal supervision.
  • Prioritize various department assignments and organize workflow.
  • Aid in presentation development.
  • Prepare documents for internal meetings, include decks, agendas, etc.
  • Take notes and prepare meeting notes, decks and action steps.
  • Join Director in some meetings.
  • Assist with coordinating, planning, and executing special events, training camp research, general research, and other special projects.
  • Develop relationships with internal clients to handle routine correspondence.
  • Work closely with other interns and team members as needed.
  • Assist with day-to-day administrative needs.
  • File as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree (marketing or communications preferable) preferred.
  • Experience with a sports franchise, college sports department or sports environment helpful.
  • Excellent proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work within a high-profile organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to understand multifaceted instructions.
  • Ability to interact with top-level contacts regarding highly sensitive information.
  • Ability to identify and navigate workflow issues.
  • Quality organizational skills and the ability to work under strict deadlines.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all peers and possess a willingness to handle routine tasks.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time throughout the day.
  • Ability to focus on projects for periods of time.
  • Operates in a professional office environment.
  • Role routinely uses standard office equipment.
  • Working gamedays.

 

 

SUPERVISES: This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.
