Campaigns Intern, Democracy

Democracy Team:

Reports to: Associate Director, Digital 

Location: Washington, D.C. (3 days in office & 2 days remote each week.)

Internship dates: May 27th, 2024 - August 9th, 2024

Status: Full-Time; Non-Exempt

Salary: $20/hour not to exceed 40 hours/week

 

Position Summary: As a Democracy Campaigns Intern, you'll…

  • Work with the Hub’s Democracy Digital team to support successful digital campaigns across multiple platforms, including quickly mobilizing around rapid-response moments
  • Support day-to-day social media programs on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social media accounts
  • Write compelling social media, email, SMS, and web copy as needed for various campaigns and projects
  • Assist with communicating our messaging to social media creators (influencers) to help us authentically reach new audiences
  • Help perform website updates using content management tools like WordPress, SquareSpace, and/or Wix
  • Collaborate with our campaigns, research, and communications teams on interdisciplinary projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned
