DRONE ENGINEERING & CODING INSTRUCTOR - STEAM EDUCATION AIDE

This is a part-time position that plans, organizes, and instructs children or adults in various Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) topics. 

An incumbent works under the direction of the STEAM Education Coordinator to assist in planning and implementing educational courses and activities relevant to STEAM topics including, but not limited to: artificial intelligence, aeronautics, chemistry, drones, gaming, coding, animation, sports science, forensics, anime & manga storyboarding, and electrical engineering. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

Must be at least 16 years of age and have completed at least one (1) semester of college credits towards a degree or certification in Aeronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Robotics, Electronics, Engineering, Machinal Engineering,  Marine Biology, Molecular biology, STEM Education or experience building/coding/flying drones

A Valid Driver's License from any state (Equivalent to a State of Florida Class E) may be utilized upon application, however prior to appointment a State of Florida Driver's License (Class E or higher) must be presented to the Department of Human Resources. 

The incumbent will be responsible for serving as instructor/supervisor of activities; may assist in preparing class schedules and lesson plans, as required;.

May be required to operate a city motor vehicle not requiring a commercial driver's license. performing other related work, as required. An employee in this classification will report to and work under the direct supervision of the designee in charge of the recreation facility, program, camp, or playground.
