We are looking for enthusiastic and ambitious Strategy Fellows to gain hands-on experience across all aspects of the agency business while providing invaluable support to our strategy team. Taylor’s Strategy HBCU Fellowship is a paid post-undergraduate, six-month, remote fellowship program.  

Taylor provides real-world professional experience, development, and career-readiness fellowships to post-undergraduates and master’s students from accredited historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

As a Taylor Fellow, you are open minded, ready to learn, and motivated to start your career in the PR, social, and digital marketing industry.  You’re excited to join a multifaceted group of colleagues that embrace diversity of thought as a means to enhance innovation and collaboration in all we do. 

 

Details: 

  • Paid fellowship: $4,166.68 per each month worked, less applicable deductions and withholdings (based on an annual equivalent salary of $50k)
  • Includes Paid Time Off, Holidays, and additional perks
  • Fellowship begins 7/11/24, and will go through 12/20/2024
  • Full-time (35-40hrs/week)
  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET
  • Remote position
  • Must be a recent college graduate, a graduate school student, and/or a student who has recently completed a master’s program at an accredited HBCU

 

Responsibilities and learning opportunities: 

As a Taylor Fellow, you will gain hands-on agency experience through an in-depth training program, a dedicated manager, professional development and networking opportunities, and the day-to-day responsibilities and learning opportunities outlined below. 

  • Collaborate with other strategists, creatives, and account teams to create high-impact work that solves client and customer challenges
  • Support the development of smart, contextual customer journeys and audience segmentation for clients
  • Assist with research and analysis to prepare client-facing POVs, thought-leadership and reports on client business information, industry trends, influencer content performance, social/web content performance, media coverage, and competitive set
  • Clearly distill research, programming/content performance, and client business knowledge
  • Highlight relevant and actionable data/results, insights, themes, and trends in presentations, strategic briefs, and reports
  • Stay attuned to and proactively elevate cultural trends, news, media/content, and industry insights that form relevant, innovative ideas for client and agency thought-leadership, strategic POVs, presentations and reports
  • Learn and understand critical metrics and processes involved in gathering data related to PR, Influencer, and/or Social
  • Think creatively to leverage and integrate data to tell a straightforward, insightful story and/or consumer journey

 

Requirements of this fellowship program: 

  • This is a post-undergraduate opportunity open to:
    • Recent graduates who hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited HBCU
    • Those who are currently completing a master’s program or hold a master’s degree from an accredited HBCU
  • Prior experience/internships at PR, Digital/Social, Creative agencies, or relevant coursework
  • Experience or passion for consumer categories (including Finance, Spirits, Sports, Personal Care, etc.)
  • General understanding of the purpose and function of a Strategic Brief; experience with strategic planning processes and brief-writing a plus
  • Basic knowledge and experience with tools such as Tagger, Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Crimson Hexagon, BrandWatch, GWI, Google Analytics, and Meta Business Suite
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, multitasking, and time-management
  • Writes, presents, and communicates in a persuasive manner, across a variety of platforms, including social media
  • Team player who enjoys working with and helping others in a collaborative environment
  • Curious and open to others' ideas and viewpoints with a willingness to learn and take constructive feedback
  • A good problem solver who seeks to make improvements and learns from mistakes
  • Interest in developing purpose-driven work
