Playout Operator

Playout Operator

The Playout Operator will accurately monitor the program playouts, adjust content playlists as needed, support scheduling and broadcast changes and manage all program data.

Responsibilities

· Track and coordinate deliverables to ensure all assets are available as scheduled.

· Evaluate technical quality of content and assure standards are being met.

· Report equipment problems to Engineering and perform emergency workarounds.

· Participate as required in the evaluation and implementation of workflows and systems

· Monitor the Playouts and adjust the playlist as needed for any updates, and content issues

· Develop proficiency in using the scheduling software and executing workflows for a flawless on-air experience

· Create, capture and edit all content metadata in systems as needed

· Create, maintain, and set program formats on the grid level as well as live or server events

· Review formats as required and make recommendations for revisions as needed

· Generate reports after each shift and track scheduling, delivery, streaming and other issues in order to identify and resolve problems

· Partner with other departments as necessary

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or Equivalent Degree

· Bilingual: English and Spanish

· Broadcast experience a plus

Requirements:

· Interested candidate must submit a resume.

· Must be willing to work on-site in the Medley / Miami area

· Willingness to work overtime, and on weekends with short notice.

· Comfortable learning and using program scheduling and playout systems

· Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.

· Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

· Must be 18 years or older.

· Must be available to work all shifts, including early mornings, evenings, holidays, weekends, late breaking news and hurricane emergencies.

· Must be willing to travel as needed, sometimes on short notice.

· Must acknowledge and adhere to the Company Employee Policy Manual, Code of Conduct, and Arbitration Agreement.

· Must be willing to facilitate personnel requirements including late and/or last minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment.

Desired:

· Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast, playout and production technology.

· Organized, reliable, detail-oriented and deadline-driven

· Ability to multi-task and react quickly during broadcasts.

· Interpersonal and professional communication skills.

· Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems.
