Social Media and Graphic Design Internship

Overview:

GSMC Podcast Network is seeking a motivated and creative Social Media and Graphic Design Intern to join our team. This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management, graphic design, and content creation for our sports shows. The ideal candidate should be passionate about sports, possess strong organizational skills, and have a creative eye for design.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct research to find sports articles on upcoming and trending sporting events.

2. Create engaging and visually appealing graphics using Canva, incorporating images, information, and statistics for the identified events.

3. Meet publishing deadlines by efficiently managing time and prioritizing tasks to ensure timely completion of research, graphic design, and content creation for upcoming sporting events. This may require working under tight deadlines and adapting quickly to changes in the sports landscape.

4. Assist with general office tasks and administrative duties as needed.

5. Manage and maintain social media accounts by scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and monitoring trends.

6. Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm and develop creative ideas for social media campaigns.

7. Work closely with GSMC Podcast Network Sports Show Hosts, providing them with graphics and supporting news articles for potential use in their livestreams.

8. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in social media marketing and graphic design.

Qualifications:

1. Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a college/university program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field.

2. Strong understanding of social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

3. Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

6. Attention to detail and a creative mindset.

7. Passion for sports and a willingness to learn.
