IT Manager of Infrastructure

*Cache Creek Casino Resort located in the beautiful Capay Valley in Brooks, CA.

Summary: The IT Manager of Infrastructure a thought leader responsible for the design, delivery, and operations of Cache Creek’s on premise and cloud infrastructure. This includes the following functions: Network, Systems, Storage, Database, and Data Center Operations. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, develop, and mentor a team of IT professionals ensuring the quality delivery and operations of core IT services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborates with IT leadership on the definition of the strategy & roadmap for the IT Infrastructure domain.
  • Implements strategy and roadmap items for the IT Infrastructure domain.
  • Engineers and operates the infrastructure platform that IT solutions run on
  • Provides 24/7/365 support for all things infrastructure; addresses all reported issues within defined SLAs.
  • Delivers all service requests within defined SLAs; participates in the delivery of capital projects.
  • Ensures all systems are designed and operated in alignment with information security best practices.
  • Defines and operationalizes departmental policies, standards, SOPs and run books.
  • Defines, tracks, and reports on departmental metrics.
  • Interfaces with internal and external auditors
  • Ensures all audit findings are remediated within agreed upon timelines.
  • Manages vendor relationships.
  • Interfaces, collaborates, and fosters strong relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Adheres to departmental budget.
  • Hires, develops, and retains top talent to accomplish the team’s mission.
  • Recognizes and rewards top performers and addresses poor performance in the moment.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 5-10 employees in the Information Technology department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws to include training employees, assigning and directing work, evaluating performance, and addressing complaints and disciplinary problems.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field; Five years professional experience in engineering, including experience with technical innovation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in secure network design principles and system (server & workstation) hardening standards. Demonstrated experience with secure backups, BCO, and Disaster Recovery. Experience with HP, Aruba, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft Server, and Microsoft SQL Server preferred.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, mathematical or schedule form.

Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Cache Creek Casino Resort Tribal Gaming License.

ITIL Foundations certification preferred.
