Coordinator, Capital Asset - Supply Chain
Job Description
The Department of Supply Chain has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Coordinator, Capital Asset to work on the UHealth Campus. The Coordinator, Capital Assets coordinates project activities for the Strategic Capital Planning Program. This role provides administrative and support including capital budget assistance, progress tracking, and documentation. In addition, this position also prepares comprehensive action plans that detail available resources, timeframes and coordinates capital equipment solutions.
- Actively participate in the Capital Committee and associated aspects of the respective Committee.
- Assist the Associate Director in providing strategic planning expertise that facilitates understanding current assets and structure, then enhance, modify and restructure to achieve maximum value.
- Proactively collaborate with Health System Stakeholders to strategically plan, manage, and implement capital equipment solutions to optimize the clinical workflow.
- Assist with centralized budget for strategic capital planning for fixed medical equipment and movable assets.
- Assist in maintaining a streamlined method for selecting the “highest-valued” capital equipment to be used in fulfilling the organization’s patient care mission for determining the appropriate supplier and most effective equipment selection.
- Participates and advises on capital equipment through value analysis committees to select and implement strategies for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, quality improvements, and process efficiencies.
- Responsible for developing capital equipment sourcing initiatives including, but not limited to, standardization, utilization, bulk buys, group buys, etc. Collaborates in the short and long-term planning process to identify sourcing opportunities at the local, regional and system levels.
- Works closely with the Medical Equipment Planner to identify, standardize, select, and deploy capital equipment to support growth strategies.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
