Siegel Public Interest Technology Summer Fellowship

The Center for Information Technology Policy, is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, interdisciplinary hub where researchers study the impact of digital technologies on society for the good of society. Our work draws from expertise across the Princeton University campus; our community includes academics and researchers from the fields of computer science, economics, politics, engineering and sociology.

The Siegel PIT SF program is aimed at rising juniors and seniors interested in gaining real world experience working on cutting edge technology policy at the federal, state, and local level. We select between 16 and 20 students to participate each summer in the paid fellowship. Read about our 2023 fellows' experience here!

Fellows will begin the program with a virtual policy boot camp before embarking on their full time internships. We will have weekly virtual clinic-style seminars to support the fellows during the eight-week program. At the conclusion of the summer, we will host a wrap-up workshop in Princeton.

The fellowship will provide students with a $7,500 stipend. Please note, the stipend will be paid in two installments, one at the beginning of the program and the final one at the end. Students must attend the wrap-up session to be paid the final installment.

CITP is committed to building a culturally diverse community, and we are interested in receiving applications from members of groups that have been historically underrepresented in this field. Note, due to government rules there are limited opportunities available for non-US citizens.
