Job Summary:
Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Graduate Admissions, the Assistant Director serves as the primary contact for prospective applicants to Masagung Graduate School of Management MBA programs and specialized professional master's programs. The Assistant Director supports the Associate Director of Recruitment and participates in recruitment planning and the tactical execution of marketing plans for MBA and specialized master's programs that turn qualified leads into applicants. More specifically, the Assistant Director collaborates on application completion, application preparation for review, application review and decision notification. The Assistant Director is expected to plan, coordinate, and execute activities to maximize yield of admitted students.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Envisions, articulates, and implements plan for achieving all Graduate Programs recruiting priorities.
• Performs recruitment activities including but not limited to consistent prospect and applicant communication via call, text, email, and events.
• Meets with prospective students virtually and in-person, managing regular on-campus events (drop-in hours, orientation, open house, class visits, tours, etc.)
• Facilitates and creates recruiting and admitted student events registration, attendance, and promotion.
• Supports applicants with programmatic and application questions to facilitate enrollment goals.
• Assists Program Directors with virtual and in-person events to facilitate enrollment goals.
• Gains knowledge of and shares insights into pertinent trends and innovations through market research, participation in peer networks and associations, and attending and representing USF at conferences, seminars, and speaking engagements.
• Evaluates and updates all graduate program application materials on yearly basis or as needed, including online application, application instructions, letters of recommendation, certification of finances, decision letters, and admission packets.
• Assists in the smooth transition of accepted students to deposited and enrolled students through yield events, assistance with orientation activities, etc.
• Monitors and suggest updates and revisions for all graduate programs related websites and digital marketing efforts.
• Monitors and creates content for all graduate programs on all social media channels.
• Participates and supports in marketing and recruiting design, planning, and delivery logistics. Administers regular surveys for prospective students and partner with the Graduate Program Directors to develop and implement recruitment and admission changes and improvements based on survey data.
• Daily use of the Admissions CRM and Database to manage communications, prospect activity, application review, interaction tracking, and various other uses.
• Domestic and International Travel in Fall and Spring.

Key Executions:

• Enrollment of high-quality, diverse graduate students across ALL graduate programs.
• Outstanding customer service to prospective and current students, faculty, and alumni.
• Improvement of advising activities through policy setting and execution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Graduate Degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of related work experience, preferably in an academic environment.
• Proven ability to function in a managerial capacity, working with minimal supervision and a high degree of autonomy in establishing priorities, making decisions, and carrying through tasks on deadline.
• Strong ability and commitment to working in a team environment.
• High customer service values and an exceptional level of professionalism are required.
• Slate CRM knowledge Preferred.
• Collaborative, team oriented.
• Experience working with graduate students is a plus.
• Experience strongly desired in word processing, spreadsheets, website maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills: writing (across multiple platforms), speaking (including presentations). Ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, prospective master's applicants, faculty, alumni, administration.
• High energy, initiative, and enthusiasm.
• Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.

The position's office will be located at the USF 101 Howard Campus with some meetings and work to take place on main USF campus and other Bay Area venues.
