Bookkeeper

Midtown Development is seeking to hire a bookkeeper to record and maintain the business's financial transactions. The Bookkeeper will be required to work from Midtown’s South Miami office. The purpose of this role will be to assist in maintaining quality financial records for the company with an additional focus on property-level accounting.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Audit the existing books of business.
  • Prepare financial reports that analyze, summarize, and communicate essential information to business leaders
  • Manage Accounts Receivables and Account Payables (i.e., paying bills, sending invoices, following up on past-due invoices, etc.)
  • Maintain and balance general ledger
  • Oversee accounts by balancing entries, verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
  • Preside over an efficient system to track financial transactions and define policies and procedures for bookkeeping
  • Maintain quality historical records
  • Maintain records of financial transactions by posting, verifying, and allocating appropriately within an accounting system
  • Manage and review general ledger and subsidiary accounts

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience as a bookkeeper or jr. accountant
  • Advanced knowledge and experience working with Quickbooks
  • Yardi Breeze experience preferred
  • Experience preparing financial statements
  • Experience managing and processing payroll and payroll tax
  • Strong, concise, and clear communication skills
  • Very strong technical capability in Microsoft
  • Office Suite, Google Calendar, G Suite
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork experience
  • High attention to detail
