Engineer Intern

Job Title: Engineering Intern

Location: Miami Gardens (Hybrid On-Site & Remote)

Pay/Benefits: (1) Academic Credit Available Upon Request*; (2) Monthly Stipend; (3) Per Project Commission; (4) Full-Time Offer Potential

The Company & Role:

Robogio Dynamics is a full-spectrum engineering start-up specializing in R&D, Automation, and AI for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. We seek motivated, talented, and 'hands-on' Engineering Interns to join our multidisciplinary team. You will play a vital role in our innovative projects, gaining hands-on experience across various specialized services, from design to manufacturing. This internship provides a unique opportunity for current engineering students or recent graduates to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to real-world engineering challenges.

 

Responsibilities: *previous experience in the below is a plus but not required, desire to learn is a must*

  • Project Support: Collaborate with our team of experienced engineers on a wide range of projects, including industrial and consumer product prototyping, 3D printing and modeling, CAD designing, CNC machining, milling, lathe operations, water jet cutting, tube notching and bending, plasma cutting, laser cutting and etching, metal sheet bending, welding services, injection molding, and advanced computer programming.
  • Hands-On Work: Get involved in the practical aspects of engineering, assisting in the setup and operation of machinery and equipment for various manufacturing processes.
  • Design Assistance: Work with engineers on CAD design projects, contributing to the creation of 3D models and prototypes.
  • Programming: Gain exposure to advanced computer programming by working on projects involving Python, C++, image recognition, positional programming, microcontroller coding, and robotics programming.
  • Client Interaction: Collaborate with the team to understand client requirements and contribute to the development of solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Problem Solving: Participate in problem-solving sessions, offering fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to address engineering challenges.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including design specifications, project progress, and testing results.
  • Safety and Quality: Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure high-quality standards are met in all engineering tasks.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in engineering.

 

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in or recent graduate of an engineering program (mechanical, electrical, software, industrial, or related field).
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following specialized services is a plus: 3D printing and modeling, CAD designing, CNC machining, milling, lathe operations, water jet cutting, tube notching and bending, plasma cutting, laser cutting and etching, metal sheet bending, welding services, injection molding, or advanced computer programming (Python, C++, image recognition, positional programming, microcontroller and robotics coding).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new skills quickly.
  • Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to contribute to the success of diverse engineering projects.
