Investment Data Management Associate Analyst

Get to Know the Opportunity:

This role is a part of our Voya Investment Management Entry Level Program. This program, which will begin in July 2024, is designed to develop the careers of entry level employees and provide you with the unique opportunity to begin your investment career while gaining hands-on experience and on-the-job development and training.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to help us establish a team that focuses on maintaining a high-quality investment data environment and enhancing the overall data experience for our investment professionals. Success in the Data Management Analyst role requires a strong analytical mentality, the ability to understand exceptions and a willingness to collaborate in a team setting. The importance of data is widely understood at Voya Investment Management (IM) and you will play an important part in moving Voya’s data governance mandate forward. Please Note: This position has been designated as a hybrid-office/home role. Details of your in-office schedule will be finalized with your manager.

The Contributions You’ll Make:

Daily activities may change, but main responsibilities will include:

Collaborate with internal customers, the Business Analysis team and the Information Technology team to assist in the translation of requirements into technical solutions in the data warehouse

Document business processes and perform business analysis to support users, downstream systems and clients with validated and accurate source data

Research, solve, and facilitate resolution of unexpected data results

Run quality checks on data and investigate outages to help facilitate solutions

Bring a fresh perspective on existing issues, processes and controls to develop and recommend new and improved controls and procedural enhancements

Participate in systems development efforts and new initiatives including testing, parallels and specification input

Promote a positive attitude and working environment among fellow employees and develop efficient working relationships

As the Data Management Analyst, you are expected to be customer focused and offer unique solutions that deliver on client expectations. In addition, you will need to be thoughtful in analyzing data and problem solving exceptions to formulate effective solutions. How you get to a solution is just as important, if not more so, than the solution itself. In this role, you will be exposed to new ways of thinking and acquire new skills.
