Assistant to Humanities Professor

Humanities professor with a love for learning and teaching seeks computer assistant for remote typing of course materials from dictation (in real time over  Zoom). Seeking assistant who is warm, kind, and very reliable. Good fit for someone who enjoys working with  learning materials. Need someone for about  5-10 hours per week (more possible); possible start date October 12 and continuing through Fall semester and into the Spring. Please send cover letter and resume (in Word document, not PDF, in Times New Roman 12-pt font), noting any writing  experience you have, especially in the humanities, and screenshot of a 5-minute online typing test from  https://official-typing-test.com/test/5test.html (including  typing words per minute, accuracy, and picture of words  corrected). Skills sought: fast, accurate, thoughtful, and attentive typing, excellent ear for dictation over phone (with good sound connection), quick eye for searching texts, strong grammar and punctuation (including in informal e-mails). Experience with footnotes helpful. Please include dates and times of availability for Fall semester and beyond, especially all mornings of the week, with a screenshot of schedule if available (preferably in graph form) and phone number. Salary: 16.50/hour. Ad will remain up until the position is filled.
