Intern for Development Team

Development and Fundraising Intern:

Interns will assist the Development Department in areas such as annual giving, prospect research, community outreach, grassroots fundraising, grant research and writing, event planning and coordination (Major Donor Friend Raisers, Gala, Financial Literacy Classic), and special programs.
Interns will learn the use of Grant and contact management software, constant contact, and others used by the organization. Interns/Service Learners will participate in professional development workshops and networking opportunities when offered by the organization.

Applicants must Be available to work 15–22 hours per week during regular business hours at DoughMain Financial Literacy Foundation HQ in Princeton, New Jersey.

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high level of computer competency.
• Be self-motivated, organized, willing to help with any project no matter how large or small, and be able to balance multiple priorities at once.
• Have a strong desire to make a difference, a passion for the DoughMain Financial Literacy Foundation mission, a positive attitude, and a sense of humor.

Interns will assist the Development Department in such areas as annual giving, prospect research, community outreach, grassroots fundraising, grant research and writing, event planning and coordination, and special programs.
Interns will research grant and funding opportunities, including Major Donors, and report on viability. Interns will maintain the Donor Perfect Database and grant and funding tracking. Interns will contact and engage potential donors, finders, or partnering organizations. Interns will prepare LOIs, grant applications, and Introductory letters set up meetings, and assist with the presentation of funding requests.
Interns will assist in preparing a fundraising plan for the organization for upcoming fundraising cycles
