Nike Global Apparel Materials Undergraduate Intern

GLOBAL APPAREL MATERIALS DEVELOPER INTERN 

As the Global Apparel Materials (GLAM) Developer Intern, you will be part of the Textiles, Trims, and Print & Pattern Teams that partner with Global Categories and Design Teams on delivering materials from concept to commercialization.  

You will collaborate with the Teams to build/enhance tools, resources and systems designed to enable the creative process, advance innovation, and increase speed. You will support the research and ideation for concept development, including the testing and validation towards final item approval. In this role you will have the opportunity to interact with teams involved in design, product management, product creation, material manufacturing, and sustainability. Materials should be your passion!  

PROJECTS 

You will collaborate with the GLAM Material Development team and other Material Development Interns to deliver on a cross functional project that is inclusive of Textiles, Trims, Print & Pattern.

REQUIREMENTS 

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or certification in Apparel Design, Pattern Making, Textile Science, Materials Science or related field with a graduation date of Winter 2024 or Spring/Summer 2025. 

Self-starter attitude and the ability to be a team player within a fast-paced team. 

Knowledge of material and garment construction. 

Ability to build a plan/roadmap around key projects and implement to completion. 

Experience in building compelling visual tools. (Adobe illustrator, Power Point, Boards, Miro, etc.) 

Strong written and verbal communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentations. 

Strong organization and multi-tasking skills. 

Strong information seeking-skills and a drive to make things happen. 

Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives. 

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse group. 

Ability to network and use internal and external resources.
