Public Relations Specialist

Join and grow with a reputable family owned and run Financial Advisory Firm. This is an exciting opportunity for an organized, self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills seeking to join an A-team.

The Public Relations Specialist at Guerra Financial Group will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall community, public relations, and prospecting strategies based on the firm's vision. This person will be responsible for establishing close relationships with existing clients, potential clients and external organizations in order to host Lunch and Learn events, In-House Classes, Trade Show Booths, and cultivating public relations opportunities. You will work closely with the CEO and Director of Marketing in establishing these long term relationships and execute on the mission of Guerra Financial Group.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing or related field
  • Basic understanding of wealth management concepts
  • Excellent ability to communicate with C-level executives on the services our firm provides
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, and other computer tools necessary for communication
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices and text message marketing
  • Ability to evaluate the cost of a marketing campaign or event vs its return
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and possess the ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Must be able to project manage and proactively communicate progress to the Marketing Director
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency to set and meet deadlines, juggle competing priorities, self-sufficient while being detail-oriented and motivated
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful community outreach campaigns (traditional and digitally)
  • Experience with event marketing and event management

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement public relations strategies, messages and plans that allow the firm to reach its goals for Lunch and Learn, trade shows and networking in order to reach potential clients
  • Directly follow up with and communicate with clients, organizations/associations, business and community leaders to host outreach events in order to attract prospects to our firm
  • Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, sponsorships, and affiliate market 
  • Coordinate and manage media interviews and opportunities
  • Create engaging press releases and media materials
  • Respond to media inquiries and manage crisis communications 
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage and industry trends 
  • Plan, execute and host social events for our existing clients
  • Manage marketing budgets for events and public relations opportunities
  • Use the company's website and social media channels to market community events
  • Attend weekly networking and community events to implement the firm's vision of community outreach
  • Track and report on Key Performance Indicators metrics and outcomes of PR campaigns
