Applications Engineering Co-Op

About the Co-Op Program:
We are excited to bring eager, talented students on board and provide them with an unparalleled 6-month co-op experience. The Entegris Co-Op Program consists of real work experience, cross-functional learning and development opportunities, and a variety of social and volunteering events.

 

**This is a full-time (40 hrs/week) commitment from January - June 2024. Students should work with their academic advisors to determine eligibility to participate in a co-op and/or ability to receive school credit.**

Core Purpose:
The person in this role will work hands-on in the lab, performing various experiments to help benchmark new products for the CMP filters team. As part of the position, the person will need to work independently with custom lab equipment as well as learn quickly how to adapt test settings to new products. Your primary responsibility will be characterization of filtration performance metrics for new and existing products with various chemical solutions. As part of the Applications Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to interface with the global CMP applications teams as well as work with team members from various countries and job functions. You will also have a window into product development, failure analysis and customer facing presentations.

In this role, you will:
- Serve as a team member for the CMP Filtration Applications Engineering global team.
- Work with Applications engineering team members as well as R&D to understand customer requirements and help deliver products that meet key performance metrics.
- Learn about and participate in design of experiment activities in order to achieve "best product" recommendation outcomes for key internal and external customers
- Update documentation to support laboratory activities
- Manage large data sets in order to understand differences in testing outcomes

Desired Major & Graduation Date:
Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry with a graduation date of May 2024 or later

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 40 lbs
