Environmental Planner I

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Prepares all or part of technical reports.
  • Visits project sites and gathers data.
  • Analyzes social, cultural, physical and environmental impact of projects.
  • Provides written and graphic input for technical memos, feasibility studies, environmental reports and project status reports.
  • Coordinates graphic exhibit preparation and/or other portions of a planning project.
  • Coordinates technical work requirements with internal disciplines.
  • Provides feedback and answers questions at public meetings
  • Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
What will you contribute?
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Planning or related field.
  • This level may be achieved by Planners with two years experience since Bachelor's or one year since Master's.
  • Technical writing, computer and communications skills desired.
  • Experience with GIS, CADD, or other computer based spatial design software is preferred.
