Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be onsite full-time, but the general expectation is that the employee be on-site an average of three (3) days each week.

What You’ll Do
The Information and Digital Technology internship experience is an opportunity to stretch your technical skills and explore the growing Software organization at General Motors. The internship program includes technical competitions, speaking engagements, hands on training, and projects intended to inspire, educate, and connect General Motors interns to the current trends in technology and to each other. Internship highlights include an intern only hackathon, intern only Capture the Flag event with the Cybersecurity team, and focused team-based design sprints that lead to development projects. Every General Motors technology intern will have a dedicated coach and mentor that partners with them throughout the summer and the opportunity to attend twice-weekly developer office hours.

· Austin, TX
· Roswell, GA
A Coding Challenge will be required during the application process, should you be selected to move forward.
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or STEM degree required
- Must be graduating between December 2024 and June 2027
- Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week
What will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred qualifications):
- Experience with at least 2 programming languages (Python, Java, C++, .NET, etc.) preferred
- Knowledge of Probability/Statistical methods, Linear Algebra, Power BI, Data visualization & analysis
- Knowledge of XML and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.)
- Familiarity with packaged software (eg., SAP, PeopleSoft, Sharepoint, etc.)
- Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) as well as software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.)
- Knowledge of cyber security and risk management practices
- Experience with designing secure applications and data protection
- Knowledge of infrastructure and IT trends such as Cloud Computing
Start dates for this internship role are May & June of 2024.
GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2024 Student Program
