PR, Communications, Journalism and Social Media
Our organization, TransMedia Group, is the one of the largest independent PR firms in South Florida and been in business since 1981. We are a full service public relations firm creating messaging to the media for clients. Please review our website. We also have www.DietarySupplementNews.com, MaddenTalent.com and TMGroup Productions with films on Amazon Prime.
Students and recent graduates that have been accepted for our internship program gain hands on experience and create contacts in the industry. While interning, the student or grad really becomes part of the team. On occasion, TMG has hired interns that stayed on as a loyal employee for many years in some cases. (see non-paid clause at end).
We offer students and recent graduates a non-paid internships to assist in both our English and/or Hispanic department (as well as other language translation projects as we mirror all we do in other languages ). We customize our internships to students that have a PR, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, Business, International Business, Advertising, Marketing, Social Media and Digital Marketing. There’s even Proposal writing which is a terrific skill to learn.
Students/Grads that take the opportunity on our internship program learn a vast array of “on the job” type training and learning. This includes, but not limited to, attending client meetings, interacting and taking notes, drafting and writing press releases, working with press; phone calls, emails, extensive research, creating pitches, media tips and alerts, Social Media platforms, Cision database, brainstorming for angles for different pitches. Our interns are “Publicity Assistants” or “Junior Publicists” in which we attend all our business meetings as part of the team while with us. We are utilizing Google Meet!
TransMedia Group has also tapped into the entertainment world by assisting in securing award winning production teams for projects, product placement on films, assisting in casting films, bringing investors to films as well as sparking ideas for film projects.
All along we update their resumes and portfolio as they will generate placements or materials to discuss at job interviews. Also, attend any upcoming events if the schedule permits.
Adrienne Mazzone, President at the firm, oversees on a daily basis, what work is being done and ensures that they are learning from each task. When a student completes their internship, they leave with a feel for hands on experience by “out of classroom” career type setting and knowledge of the PR business. They also have the start of contacts they’ve created in the industry.
The internship program TransMedia Group offers, is as important for the student as it is for our business. We do critique work and give an overview of what the student or recent graduate can improve as well as what their strong points are and what they might want to work on more in depth.
Our days/hours are flexible and if going for credit are responsible to create a schedule that includes your required hours. You are welcome to extend those hours beyond. We are open 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. This internship is remote!
We are very excited to have you become a part of the TransMedia Group team! We are confident that your time with us will be well spent, and a wonderful learning experience! Please reach out with any questions.
Thank you for your note regarding non-paid internships. TransMedia Group has had students since 2000 where we work closely in assignments to ensure each student is learning during their time with our firm. Each student builds hands on experience, portfolio bragging and skills to build their future. We give guidance, tips and insight as well as interaction that builds self confidence within their personal goals. Should you have any additional questions, I'm available to discuss. Sincerely, Adrienne Mazzone, President, TransMedia Group 561-908-1683
