Accounting Manager, Retail

The Company enhances its roster of brands by licensing trademarks from third parties, including: Nike® and Jag® for swimwear, and Callaway®, PGA TOUR®, and Jack Nicklaus® for golf apparel.
SUMMARY
Duties include but are not limited to preparing and reporting direct to consumer financial results to Management and supervision of accounting staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Supervise accounting staff
- Review and approve month – end journal entries & bank reconciliations for direct to consumer area
- Ensure Financial Statements are produced in a timely and accurate manner, including adherence to general accounting principles (GAAP)
- Review month - end balance sheet schedules and proposed adjusting journal entries as deemed necessary
- Approve all retail invoices for payment
- Prepare information to outside auditors on a quarterly and annual basis
- Special projects as necessary
- Serve as liaison between retail departments and accounting department
- Manage all accounting functions related to direct to consumer (retail stores, ecommerce websites, direct to consumer systems, credit card collections, customer gift cards, inventory, payables, etc.)

- Strong Knowledge of Accounting Principles, GAAP and research skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Solid written and oral communication, organizational and planning skills
- Be able to manage multiple, diverse projects and personnel concurrently
- Leadership and supervisory skills
REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. in Accounting and 5+ years in a corporate accounting environment required.

- Experience in Oracle, NetSuite, Business Objects and Essbase
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
