The Catalyst Team is seeking a Consultant to join our full-time team as full-time employee.
The Sr. Consultant I Human Factors is a Conversation Designer. They will be responsible for working with clients to understand their needs and for gathering requirements. Further they will design conversational experiences for voice and messaging channels which will be documented in user interface specifications created by the Conversation Designer. This position will also act as a consultant for user interface-related projects providing technical guidance process expertise and experience recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Use user-centered design methodology conversational design best practices and agile development practices to design and maintain user interface specifications.
- Provide walk-throughs of designed experiences with stakeholders providing rationale for design and help stakeholders understand the merits of various design alternatives.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to analyze business needs and processes.
- Assist with project artifacts such as project plans hours estimations process flows requirements documents test plans test cases recommendation readouts etc.
- Build relationships with stakeholders both internal and external.
- Perform usability testing and other empirical application performance assessments.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, UI/UX design and/or relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of user-centered design methodology & best practices
- Excellent customer service skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills to showcase designed experiences.
- Ability to work well within an agile, team environment.
- Self starter, able to take initiative and open to constructive feedback.
- Open to learning.
- Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with human machine interaction
