Position Purpose- Radiology Technologists are a critical part of performing high quality pediatric diagnostic imaging and conscientious patient care at Children's Hospital Colorado. Annual Salary Range $50, 402 to $75,604 (Based on hours worked per week and years of experience) 
Eligible Incentives: Full-time Rad Techs are eligible for a $7,500 sign on bonus and relocation assistance. 
Hours per week: Full time and part time shifts available. Please list your preference in the questions below so we can match you with positions that fit your schedule.

Qualifications:
  • EDUCATIONGraduation from an accredited Radiology program is required.
  • CERTIFICATION(S):
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT(R) required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider required. 
Job Highlights:
  1. Produces high quality radiographic images, both fixed and portable, while accurately demonstrating anatomy and pathology.
  2. Facilitates patient flow daily; to include management of STAT/urgent and high priority patients.
  3. Provides age-appropriate care and appropriately prepares patients for procedures.
  4. Provides clear and detailed information regarding the procedure and care to patients, families, coworkers, and others.
  5. Operates all Diagnostic imaging equipment; to include ancillary equipment following safety procedures and protocols.
  6. Utilizes principles of ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) and ensures proper radiation safety practices.
  7. Maintains required competency in dose reduction techniques and the Image Gently Campaign.
  8. In the event of an emergency will act as first responder and provide Basic Life Support (BLS) until help arrives.
  9. Verifies patient allergies and clinical indications prior to contrast administration. Safely administers contrast using the five rights. Ensures contrast is appropriately ordered and documented in patients’ medical record.
  10. Assists Provider with procedures as necessary (Maintaining technologist Scope of Practice). Follows established procedural guidelines; documents appropriate information as required; practices aseptic/sterile technique and standard precautions when necessary.
  11. Maintains flexibility around shift scheduling, location, call requirements, over-time and weekend assignments to align with organizational needs.
