Marketing Associate- YMCA of Northern Utah

The Marketing Associate collaborates with the Marketing and Communications Directors and other departments to bring the Y brand vision to life through creative, innovative campaigns that drive revenue and build awareness. Following Y-USA brand guidelines, the marketing manager designer designs print, digital, and video collateral for the entire organization and guides the effort to visually represent the Y as a leading non-profit.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A MARKETING ASSOCIATE:
  • Design, produce and distribute marketing materials and program information (day-to-day graphics for flyers, invitations, billboards, advertisements, and social media) to promote YMCA programs in accordance with a marketing plan and YMCA brand strategy and style guidelines.
  • Work with Director of Marketing to conceptualize and develop marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor brand compliance in all print, digital and video communications.
  • Proofs and approves any staff-created flyers or collateral.
  • Manage multiple, varied projects with complex timelines and production schedules.
  • Provide and enforces quality control standards for art file management, pre-press processes and project archiving.
  • May perform proofreading and copywriting/editing of YMCA materials.
  • Work within well-established brand guidelines ensuring fidelity, look and feel, as well as creative ways to share the message. Work to ensure that all demographics are represented.
  • Manage social media accounts. Post social media ads to specialized markets, track performance, and adjusts when necessary. Post programs photos following the marketing calendar.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE A MARKETING ASSOCIATE
  • At minimum, degree preferred or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or graphic design.
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite, Google Analytics, SEO. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Detail oriented with problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience setting and managing priorities.
  • Demonstrates an active willingness to learn and grow; accepts constructive criticism; works cooperatively as a team member.
  • Ability to pass and obtain FBI Background check and fingerprint clearance.
