MOCS is the City's oversight and service agency that is dedicated to optimizing existing operations and transforming processes to make it easier to do business with the City. MOCS works with agencies, vendors, and providers to ensure that the contracting process is fair, efficient, transparent, and cost effective to the City.
The Chief Diversity Officer oversees the development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of external and internal Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives and training events for the New York City Mayor’s Office of Contract Services (MOCS). Under the guidance and supervision of the agency’s Director, the DEI Intern will assist with event coordination, research, writing assignments, and digital content creation.
This internship is on-site.

Internship Responsibilities:
• Provide support to the Chief Diversity Officer for work conducted on behalf of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Contract Services
• Integrate information and prepare meeting agendas and goal setting for our DEI meetings
• Assist with research and project management
• Assist with creating and posting social media content for related DEI topics
• Assist with external engagement coordination and execution

• Organizational and strong writing skills required, and ability to work in a team-like environment

Internship is open to recently graduated, undergraduate and graduate applicants for a maximum of 13 weeks.

Salary Range: $15.75/hour (undergraduate), $17.00/hour (graduate)
Internship may not be used to fulfill college credit requirement.
