Marketing Assistant (Hybrid at New Rochelle, NY Office)

Position Purpose:
To gain valuable skills and experience while assisting creative marketing team with the preparation of a wide range of time-sensitive projects:
  • Project Management – support and initiate projects and follow them from conception (project outline, authorization forms) through development (copy, design, production, proofing), to ftp or publication date, including analysis and distribution of results.
  • Product Management – through self-study and provided trainings, become knowledgeable of the instructional design behind BEC educational products and resources, and how to position their value effectively in the market.
  • Execution of a variety of marketing efforts that support project and product management including:
  1. Print collateral creation – catalogs, brochures, flyers, ads, assorted collateral.
  2. Multimedia collateral creation– email campaigns, web and landing pages, online ads
  3. Exhibits, webinars, events – advertisements, signage, program ad, booth collateral/premiums
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Support the creation of marketing materials for all channels and events, primarily direct mail, email, websites, as well as print and online advertisements, and occasionally press releases, industry conferences, company sales/marketing meetings, and multi-format sales collateral.
  • Audit company ecomm site on a regular basis
  • Coordinate with design and production teams in developing marketing material.
  • Maintain marketing databases including calendars and collateral.
  • Assemble and summarize sales and marketing data to report on promotion results.
  • Follow up with select marketing leads.
  • Support collateral inventory management and lifecycle status.
  • Basic copywriting and proofreading
  • Occasional assistance at off-site and/or virtual exhibits and sales events
  • Administrative support tasks as needed.
  • Support the Senior Director of Marketing and other members of the Marketing team as appropriate
 

Job Requirements/Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, flexible, self-starter
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks and priorities under deadline
  • Ability to sustain focus on multiple projects and to request clarification as needed when following assignment direction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or iWork (comparable Mac apps)
  • Adobe Suite, InDesign, HTML, Canvas experience a plus
  • College degree
