Transformative Justice Coordinator
The Transformative Justice Coordinator is responsible for managing the growth and expansion of West Coast Mennonite Central Committee’s (WCMCC) transformative justice initiative. The work will be in collaboration with various school districts, and create partnerships with universities, and nonprofit, churches, faith-based community organizations in the Central Valley of California. The Coordinator will use restorative principles to help address school discipline issues and decrease the ‘school to prison pipeline’. The Coordinator will work to provide the necessary training to schools and other community partners for the implementation of local restorative justice programs. The Coordinator will also lead outreach efforts to local churches, non-profits, schools, universities, to connect mediators with needs and enroll partners in the work of restorative justice. The Coordinator will assist the Director in enhancing the work of restorative justice throughout the MCC West Coast Region.
