Quality Assurance Tester

We are seeking UAT Testers to support MyNavy HR’s transformation efforts, ensuring that the developed software capabilities align with all business rules and fulfill functional requirements. You will be instrumental in the planning, preparation, and evaluation of transformation software, including afloat capabilities.

Essential Role and Responsibilities
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPT), management, and leadership discussions, meetings, and conferences to support testing and evaluation efforts.
  • Provide input for developing and maintaining testing and evaluation Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Analyze Functional Requirements Documents (FRD) to write accurate test cases and report potential defects.
  • Ensure coordination with Transformation integrated master schedules for adequate time for functional testing.
  • Develop test plans, reports, use cases, and/or test scripts for testing and evaluating various pilots, projects, programs, systems, subsystems, equipment, and software.
  • Conduct a series of tests including: Integration Testing, System Testing (black box), Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Product Level Testing, and Government Acceptance testing.
  • Trace and validate data exchanges and manual processes throughout systems, report data corruptions, and verify that training products align with user experiences.
  • Identify, track, and document application defects and conduct defect fix validations.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
Experience
  • Proven experience in User Acceptance Testing, System Testing, and/or Integration Testing.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to understand and translate Functional Requirements Documents (FRD) into accurate test cases.
  • Experience in developing comprehensive test plans, reports, use cases, and test scripts.
  • Knowledge and experience in various testing methods such as Integration Testing, System Testing (black box), Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Product Level Testing, and Government Acceptance testing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
