Description: The Grant Writer is responsible for researching, writing, editing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for Balance Now. Additionally, the Grant Writer will also be conducting written interviews. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of persuasive writing at a college level or higher, the grant editing process, non-profit grants, and the research process. This person must possess advanced writing skills, be research savvy, have good time management, and be able to establish and follow deadlines. They must be able to communicate verbally and through writing, have reading and writing comprehension, think creatively to match grants to the organization, and work well in a team dynamic. The ideal candidate will be proactive, receptive to feedback and constructive criticism, self-accountable, passionate about Balance Now’s mission and DEI, and be resourceful.

Details: This is an unpaid internship. You will work remotely 15 hours weekly with a flexible schedule, a mandatory weekly meeting on Tuesdays 8 - 9am PST (11am - 12pm EST). The duration of the internship is a minimum of 4 months to a maximum of 6 months. Interns can earn school credit, work experience in a start-up and letters of recommendation upon completion.
