Lead Associate, Monitoring & Evaluation (P2)

Summary
Save the Children’s U.S. Programs (USP) division is committed to ensuring that all children in rural America have a healthy, strong foundation to thrive as learners and in life. Our goals are to increase kindergarten readiness and grade-level literacy and math proficiency for children in under-resourced rural communities. We are seeking a Lead Associate, Monitoring and Evaluation. In this role, you will help us collect and analyze the data that lets us know if we’re achieving our ambitious goals for children. You report to the Advisor, Monitoring & Evaluation on our national team, but will work closely with the state teams doing the programming for which we are collecting data.

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)
State Data Collection & Reporting (70%):
· Manage data collection for one or more states’ portfolio(s)
· Develop simple data collection tools and processes
· Train staff to use data collection tools and databases
· Collect meal distribution, gift in kind, program attendance, and other data
· Ensure data are complete, valid and reliable.
· Follow up with staff to resolve discrepancies and fill in missing data
· Coordinate monthly data review meetings with state teams and communicate trends, issues and insights to inform ongoing implementation
· Provide data, analysis, visuals and other information needed for state monitoring & reporting
National Monitoring & Evaluation Reporting: 30%
· Provide general data management and reporting support to 1-2 national Advisors leading MERL for one or more of our national program, partnerships, and/or services
· Support the development of MERL plans for new programs and services
· Submit monthly state data to national team
· Assist with creating data visuals and developing reports as needed
· Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the MERL department

Required Qualifications
· Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least 3 years of relevant experience managing, analyzing, and cleaning data across multiple projects
· Professional proficiency in MS Office suite, with a high-level of knowledge and experience using advanced formulas and other features in Excel
· Attention to detail and proven ability to deliver accurate work within deadlines
· Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
· Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally
· Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining and environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
· Willingness and ability to travel within the state up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications
· Prior experience providing technical support to database users
· Monitoring & Evaluation experience
· Experience with complex online data systems
· Experience working on education and community initiatives
· Experience working in a non-for-profit environment
· High-level of proficiency in spoken and written Spanish

Compensation
Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:

· Geo 1- NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $66,300 – $74,100 base salary.
· Geo 2-Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $65,300 – $67,500 base salary.
· Geo 3-Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average:

Target Salary for this position is $54,400 – $60,800 base salary.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location. Save the Children also offers paid vacation, accrued at least 12 days a year, depending on paygrade and length of service, paid safety and wellness leave of at least 1 day per month worked for a full time employee which is pro rata reduced for employees working less than a full time schedule, and at least 10 paid holidays a year. Employees may be eligible for additional bonus compensation.
