Catholic Charities New York - Grants Management Coordinator AmeriCorps VISTA

Catholic Charities Community Services (CCCS) was formed in 1949 as the primary direct service arm of the Archdiocese of New York. The mission of CCCS is to “provide help and create hope” through compassionate human services for New Yorkers of all religions who are in need. Our department focuses on outreach, large-scale community legal services, and legal representation of immigrants. CCCS’ program sites span Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island, as well as Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland, Orange, Sullivan and Ulster counties. CCCS offers legal services to immigrants through our two main legal services offices located in Manhattan and the South Bronx, with local office partnerships offering a full array of social and integration services in each county of the Hudson Valley, delivering legal services in collaboration with a wide-ranging network of service providers. Access is a key concept in the provision of quality legal services and a primary focus of CCCS’ legal services programming. The grants management coordinator will help us continue our mission by collecting and reporting data on the outcomes of our legal programs for clients and volunteers. The coordinator will also write project narratives that highlight the impact of our programs and the role of volunteers, and share them with various stakeholders, such as funders, partners, media, etc. The coordinator will ensure that the narratives are accurate, clear, and compliant with donor guidelines. This VISTA position is a part of Catholic Charities USA’s Family Strengthening Program, a national intermediary project. As a member, you will meet virtually with VISTA Leaders and other VISTAs serving throughout the country, all focused on alleviating poverty.

Member Duties : The grants management coordinator will work with our leaders and volunteers to support the legal needs of asylum-seeking families in the U.S. The coordinator will collect and analyze data on the families' situations and encourage donations to our legal efforts. The coordinator will also communicate the impact of our legal programs to various stakeholders and audiences, including funders, partners, media, and volunteers. Additionally, will review and update grant proposals to secure new funding sources, enhance social media outreach, and keep the Pro Bono Project website updated with opportunities and events for volunteers. The coordinator will create and distribute surveys, newsletters, and other communications to volunteers through our e-mail marketing platform.
