JOB TITLE:       Local Sales Manager, Audio Sales

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
New York Local Media Sales Team at TelevisaUnivision is looking for a Local Sales Manager, Audio Sales to join a winning team and lead a passionate and dedicated sales team.
The Local Sales Manager is responsible for implementing and leading strategic direction for the TelevisaUnivision NY Audio Sales team inclusive of linear, digital, and experiential platforms. The position will entail generating new business, nurturing existing relationships with valued clients, and developing innovative revenue philosophy to drive revenue. The Local Sales Manager must establish multi-media platform strategy demonstrating to a client and/or prospective client that TelevisaUnivision’s properties are the premier connection between the client and the Hispanic consumer. Responsible to lead and exceed revenue and overall productivity and effectiveness of the NY Local Media Sales Team.
Solutions are multi-platform in nature, integrating the traditional Radio platform along with non-traditional, digital assets and new media platforms.

YOUR DAY-DAY:
  • Needs to motivate, coach, train, and manage the overall performance of the team in addition to introducing constant innovation to attract new revenue streams
  • Lead, manage and oversee contract negotiations, deal flow management and campaign/activation executions for brand partnerships
  • Accountable for achieving revenue and promotional goals set by Executive Management
  • Accountable for providing revenue forecasts, for all overall station, team, and budgeting processes
  • Responsible for stations’ annual Business Plan and its implementation; stations’ pricing, and inventory control
  • Ability to creating best in class, innovative partnerships that are first of their kind

  • Identifies external threats and opportunities by analyzing market and competition
  • Prospect, qualify and develop relationships with brands and agencies
  • Setting and regularly communicating standards and expectation of performance; AE measurement and accountability
  • Accompany Sales Managers, Account Executives on client calls, locally (frequent domestic travel is required)
  • Determines sales priorities and works closely with Univision counterparts to maximize integrated revenue
  • Works closely with Research Managers in the development of information, presentations, and sales tools; works closely with National Sales Team to meet/exceed national targets, goals and expectations.
  • Works with the Traffic Director to prioritize inventory placement in oversold situations.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and advertising agencies
  • Fosters close, cooperative relationships with peer leaders, sales management, and sales and support personnel
 
YOU HAVE:
·      College degree or equivalent sales experience
·      Prior experience as Local Sales Manager or Sales Management position at a major market New York radio operator is preferred
·      A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in successfully leading sales strategy inside the digital & experiential space.
·      Thorough understanding of Nielsen, Miller Kaplan, Kantar, WideOrbit, Strata, Matrix, Media Monitors, and other relevant resources
·      Deep knowledge of the New York audio and overall media marketplace, and its competitive landscape
·      Extensive knowledge of advertising agencies, strong negotiating skills
·      High level of sales and customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects at any given time
·      Creative out of the box thinker with an entrepreneurial business and marketing mindset
·      Analytical, detail-oriented, organizational, problem solving and time management skills
·      Proactive and can use good judgment in making quick decisions

 
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position.
Salary Range:
$180,000 - $225,000 + benefits
