Reports to: Sr. Manager of Creative & Brand 

Internship Summary 
Interns will have the opportunity to learn about the history, culture, and vision of Orlando City SC, understanding the importance of how a professional sports organization works (which could include sales, marketing, public relations, operations, or the internal working of the Club), to further develop general critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, communication, and writing skills. 

Position Summary: 
We're looking for a Graphic Design Associate to be a part of the marketing and brand team that supports Orlando City SC, Orlando Pride, and Exploria Stadium. This individual will work with the Creative Director, the Creative & Brand Manager, other designers, photographers and content creators. You will learn how to create, execute and deliver static graphics that elevate our teams' brands through merchandise, broadcast, social media, website, app, live events and more. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Learn and assist in graphic designing for Orlando City, Orlando Pride, Orlando City B, and Club Partners as assigned, with a focus on branding, social media, merchandise, and partner design. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on overall brand/campaign ideation and design that defines and manifests the brand voice for the organization. 
  • Collaborate and assist with the content team with static graphics, including social media graphics and smart templates (e.g. web shells, gameday asset templates, etc.). 
  • Assist with ideation and design of Club and stadium signage, including mockups and print-ready files for large scrims, billboards and public adverts. 
  • Collaborate with internal departments to deliver requested creative assets that meet functional needs and aesthetically match the club's brand guidelines across Comms, Commercial, Corporate, Content and sporting departments. 
  • Assist with coordinating partnerships/collaboration with local artists for Gameday Poster Program and other art-driven Club initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with the Creative team to come up with design ideation, development and planning for CITYiD (Orlando City’s apparel customization program). 
  • Collaborate with the Design team with apparel/merchandise as needed. 

To perform this internship successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of eligibility requirements, knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary: 
  • Applicants should be working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis in Creative. 
  • Strong written and verbal skills. 
  • Exceptional reliability, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required. 
  • An Innovative Individual who can come up with ideas and work extremely well within a team to come up with creative solutions and identify new opportunities, often in a high-pressure, fast-changing environment.
  • Strong attention to small details is a must. 
  • Able to be available during non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, and within a team atmosphere. 
  • Strong interest in soccer and sports is a plus. 
  • A sense of humor is a must (prepare to tell us about a good joke in your interview). 
  • Internship will be approximately 20-30 hours weekly. 
  • Demonstrated ability to design within the constraints of brand standards 
  • Willingness to learn and utilize a project management system 
  • Ability to be flexible including nights, weekends, and holidays.
