Overview

Supports the Advancement Department in planning, coordinating, and executing all event logistics for new, current and community events and fundraising programs. Manages event volunteers, develops, and maintains relationships with new and existing donors, event participants, and vendors.
 
Starting salary: $70k


Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all aspects of in-person or virtual event execution, ensuring each event runs smoothly.
  • Manages and works with internal teams on social media and marketing for events.
  • Responsible for Qgiv peer to peer fundraising platform to include maintaining current information,
  • uploading graphics, content, sponsor logos and providing appropriate reports as needed.
  • Creating, managing, and uploading all content including graphics for e-blasts, web pages, registration, and
  • event related platforms.
  • Provides post-event reports with various statistics after each event.
  • Oversees recruitment, screening, training, and coordination of volunteers; including enrollment of
  • participants, and communication flow.
  • Ability to interact with new and existing corporate sponsors and steward relationships.
  • Ensures each event delivery is in compliance with applicable regulations and assures health and safety of all
  • involved.
  • Stays current in event trends, cause marketing practices, digital and corporate philanthropic funding.
  • Manages process for solicitating ‘’in-kind’ items for departmental auctions (on line and in-person).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

EDUCATION:
  • Typically requires an AA degree in related field.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 5 years experience in event planning and/or PR. Previous experience in non-profit organization sector is
  • preferred. Previous experience in non-profit organization sector is preferred.
  • Proven track record of conceiving, planning, and executing successful fundraising strategies and special
  • events.
  • Working with and stewarding corporate partnerships and sponsors.
  • Using relevant software applications—Bloomerang and QGiv knowledge is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft
  • Office applications.
  • Familiar with using Canva, Adobe Indesign or other online graphic design tools to create flyers, sponsors
  • packets, signage etc.
  • Previous experience working with and coordinating volunteers.

  • Ability to maintain the highest level of integrity, consistently demonstrate good judgement and decision
  • making skills.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills both internally and externally. Outstanding partnership
  • development, customer service, and relationship management skills.
  • Passionate and strong belief in the mission of ESSC.
  • High degree of organizational skills, highly proactive, attention to detail a must, and ability to handle multiple
  • projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to create basic flyers, online forms, signs, and banners to include photo montages, graphics, and
  • sponsor logos.
  • Expert in taking RSVP’s for large scale events with important details and creating said documents for guest
  • check-in and venues as required.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at events. Must be cool under pressure and able to handle
  • difficult situations that may arise.
  • Consistent ability and practice in handling and maintaining confidential data, information, and
  • organizational matters.
  • Conduct donor prospect research, and connect funders to the mission of Easterseals Southern California
  • (ESSC) and its services.
  • Ability to work before and after hours and weekends as needed.
  • Proof of valid California driver’s license with driving record meeting Transportation Safety program
  • standards; current auto insurance, and vehicle registration.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation, per Easterseals of Southern California and/or program requirements.
  • Must pass all drug testing required by ESSC and a post-offer physical evaluation.
