Associate Administrator

We are a professional firm that provides ESOP and 401(k) recordkeeping and administration services for companies that sponsor retirement plans. We are the largest independent provider of ESOP recordkeeping and administration services, and our client base is nationwide. Last year, we acquired the Benefit Plan Services division of Crowe, LLP, and we are seeking sharp, detail-oriented, dedicated individuals to join our team in Columbus, Ohio, Charlottesville, Virginia or Westchester, Illinois.

The successful candidate will learn ESOP recordkeeping and administration, with the opportunity to advance to the position of Plan Administrator. This is an entry-level position. A Skills Assessment Package will be sent to all qualified applicants for further consideration.


The Role:

An Associate Administrator is vital to the administration of ESOP plans. The Associate will assist the Administrator in reconciliation of trust assets and trust accounting for ESOP and 401(k) plans, perform data analysis and prepare financial statements and reports for clients. A typical day could include many different tasks varying in scope and nature utilizing various software programs and will not be the same tasks performed repeatedly. The Associate Administrator must be flexible, able to occasionally work more than 40 hours per week during peak times, and thrive in a team environment.



Required:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, Associates Degree required
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and willingness to learn new software systems
  • Strong initiative and attention to detail

Recommended:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Math or a related field.
  • Basic Accounting knowledge
  • Knowledge of benefits administration or retirement plans a plus (or desire to learn)
  • Enthusiasm to advance professional career
  • Ability to work in a team setting
