POSITION: Account Executive, Partnership Sales
DEPARTMENT: Partnerships
REPORTS TO: Vice President, Partnerships
STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt (On-Site)
SUMMARY: Responsible for cultivation and development of new sponsorship accounts as well as servicing, activating and supporting department initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Business Development
- Cultivate new sponsorship business through various prospecting means:
- Business-to-business prospecting, face-to-face networking events and meetings, industry research, etc.
- Create customized, client-specific marketing and promotional programs designed to meet client’s organizational goals
- Develop, manage, renew and grow relationships with new and existing clients and prospects
- Negotiation of terms, investment and additional contractual deliverables
- Hit individual sales goals
- Assist in reaching overall organizational sales goal through sponsorship & tickets
- Assist in finding and organizing new community grants for community outreach programs
Account Fulfillment
- Prepare contracts for partnership and OBC review
- Assist in execution and implementation of all sponsorship deliverables
- Develop annual proof of performance reports for assigned accounts
- Work with other OBC departments to ensure sponsor elements are effectively integrated into OBC events
- Produce weekly status reports
- Participate in OBC events and meetings as assigned by leadership
General
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of sponsorship programs and assess how to enhance client’s return on investment
- Look for new sponsorship inventory and strategic partnerships that may enhance the organization’s position in the community
- Share best practices in order to improve departmental functions
- Represent the Orange Bowl Committee in a professional manner during sponsor activities, various South Florida functions and other business-related forums
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 2-3 years progressive sales experience in either Collegiate or Professional Sports & Entertainment Corporate Partnerships or other comparable sales industries
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and demonstrate attention to detail
- Able to prioritize and bring to completion multiple projects
- Ability to work under pressure and autonomously
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Photoshop and Publisher a plus)
- Ability to multi-task on numerous projects in a short timeframe
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
