Human Resources Intern

SUMMARY:

Join the exciting BlueTeam! You will be part of our recruitment operations. Your job will include contacting and sourcing candidates. You will be joining a highly professional, client-focused, and dedicated team of human resources professionals and will gain insight into, knowledge of, and hands-on experience in the recruitment and construction industry. You will play an important part in the smooth running of BlueTeam’s seasonal recruitment initiatives.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acting as the front-line contact person for applicants
  • Participate in seasonal recruitment needs during high-peak storm seasons
  • Source passive industry candidates
  • Maintain ongoing contact with candidates
  • Create pipelines of candidates for critical skills areas of high-volume recruitment needs by utilizing sourcing methodologies to identify, attract, and recruit quality talent
  • Source candidates via local community outreach, networking, and college relationships
  • Assist with referrals from professional associations and internal referrals from our employees
  • Utilizes technology, external job boards, and social media tools to engage passive candidates and continuous engagement of quality candidates, driving qualified talent to apply for a position
  • Utilizes competencies in sourcing, selection, and effective utilization of the company's Applicant Tracking System (ATS), job description, and related recruitment resources
  • Assist with social media recruitment content creation and posting
  • Effectively create and manage a great experience for every candidate
  • Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules, and standards
  • Assist with office administration
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong interest in recruitment and pursuing a career as an Human Resources Professional
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take on new challenges
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resources principles and laws
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Recent graduate or currently pursuing a degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
