Summary/About the opportunity:
 
Ceridian is looking for self-starting, highly motivated UXR Intern to help conduct user research to support the design of useful, usable, and desirable products for the millions of workers who rely on them every day. HR and workforce management tools should demonstrate the same care and craft of consumer software, designed with contemporary user- and human-centered practices.
UXRs at Ceridian work across our product profolio and utilize a variety of methods to inform product design and strategy. As a UXR Intern, you will support research studies and conduct your own research under the guidance of Sr and Lead UXRs. UXRs contribute both to product design projects, as well as practice building efforts. Strong analytical and communication skills, and an ability to accept feedback are keys for success. 
 
Primary Responsibilities/ What you’ll get to do :
 
  • Support and conduct research to better understand our users, experiences and get get feedback on new experiences in order to support product design across our HR and Workforce Management offerings. This may include:
  • Planning and designing research
  • Writing screeners and programming studies
  • Taking notes and conducting user sessions
  • Analyzing and synthesizing data to create a clearer understanding of user goals, needs, tasks, painpoints and motivations
  • Creating research deliverables and artifacts that communicate key insights, their implications, and the recommendations for action
  • Take design direction from Sr. and Lead UXRs and UXR manager
  • Learn best practices for common research methodologies, including interviewing, concept testing and usability
·      Collaborate with other researchers, designers and your cross-functional team to work through design and product challenges
·      Present work and communicate research to the design and cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers
·      Support ideation and concepting to ensure solutioning solves for user needs and problems different
·      Advocate for a human-centered approach, including Accessibility and Inclusive Design practices
·      Be a part of a fast growing, fun Design Team!
